Good news ... Elizabeth Fraser is back in business ... I like the dub rhythms and the Eastern European accordion melodies ... fantastic!

    I love her voice, too.
My favourite COCTEAU TWINS songs are:
    -When mama was moth
    -In our angelhood
    -Blue bell knoll
    -Need-fire.

To do the link, you first type the url (or better still, a description of what it is. Then hilight it (drag your mouse cursor over it) and click on the "link" button (above the comments space). That should give you a message telling asking you to allow pop-ups or something like that. Select ok, and do it again. When the window opens, insert the url and you're done.

To add to what summoningofthemuse said:

    1. When you go write a new post, make sure that at the bottom where it says: "Format comments as: "Text" or "Html" that you select Html.
    2. Highlight the url and click on the link button at the top of the post.
    3. Depending on what browser you have, you may get a security message at the top asking if you wish to allow this. IE asks me if I want to "temporarily allow scripted comments" - it always asks me this the first time I add a link to a post. Say yes.
    4. If you had to do step 3, you will have to highlight the text and click on link button again.
    5. A small pop-up window appears, allowing you to put the url for the link in that popup. If that window does not show up, you may need to temporarily turn off your pop-up blocker.

Interesting sound. Although, I must confess. I have never been a fan of the accordion.
I went and listened to some COCTEAU TWINS on Pandora internet radio and liked what I heard.

Yes...I forgot about point no.1 in your list ;) It's very important.

Thank you very much for your help. Fraser says that she and Damon Reece have made "what might become an album". I sure hope so! Peter

Reading old posts, I stumbled on this one.
And I read the interview with Liz Fraser: very interesting.

But... looking at her picture above it I suddenly realise how time has passed. For me Cocteau Twins were truely 'my generation': I loved their music, they expressed how we lived, how we felt and who we were.
And suddenly, after a long time out of publicity there is Liz and her hair turned grey. To be honest: when I look in the mirror my hair is turning grey too, but seeing it in other people your age is different.
Like Talking Heads sang: 'and you may ask yourself, well how did I get here?'

Hi there ... to those who will be in Brussels: hope to see you there Holland and Belgium-friends! Peter

Wow, yeah she does look aged. Partly the looking down, not smiling pose though. Her hair reminds me of silver feathers. She looks bird-like, fluttery. I could see her dressing up the silver and feathers thing.

That first song didn't impress me honestly. Sure it was good but... I dunno. Maybe I just need to digest this new style, after all it's just her wonderful, magical, etheral sound without the dreamy/sick sounds of Mr. Guthrie.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Instead of hearing Cocteau Twins just "imitating themselves" to please fans (fan-service) we'll be able to hear Mrs. Fraser express her musical artisticity (did I just create a neologism or does this word even exist? lol...) in a new way.
I guess once I manage to fully accept this, it will be good.

Nonetheless, no matter the final result, having Mrs. Fraser working on a new album has got to be a GOOD THING. Can't wait for the work to be released :)
