I definitely do not want to use this forum for self-promotion, but thought some of you may appreciate this songs as it is a cover of an Attrition song and features their members Martin and Sin.

    Here is the address: www.myspace.com/mysilentwake

You should. I like to think of this forum as a community of friends. I'll go and take a listen and add you immediately to my myspace page so that I may promote you myself as well :)
  2.
Wonderful sound you got there, Silentwake. I'm not much into metal but I have a diverse taste in music and will listen to metal when I'm in the mood. Moreover, your band has influences from several bands I like...and to cut a long story short...I like your music :) I've put you in my top friends on my myspace page.

    Excellent - thanks a lot.

And am I glad you told me about the acoustic myspace site!!! Honestly...I love the acoustic songs...listening to them right now. A question: Are the acoustic songs on your albums as well? I mean as acoustic songs like they are on your myspace page?

Yes they are. Our double album 'The Anatomy of Melancholy' has a whole disc which is acoustic and one which is more metal based. On every album we have some acoustic music which confuses some reviewers.

Really pleased that you like the music on there!
  5.
    Interesting. Thanks.

Band forums are a sort of "unplugged" version of the networking that occurs within the music "industry". That's it. We're "networking". (Which is why very few people know where I blog or, specifically, which musicians I feel comfortable sharing my thoughts around...haha.) Er...um networking, yeah.

May as well be a slot for people to post their link, if it relates, somehow.

Um... p.s. the italics/block text thingie seems to be hanging.

    According to the Kenneth's words:
You should. I like to think of this forum as a community of friends.

...just a few notes...we're recording now, and probably our album will be released at the end of 2010. This is a new project from Alessia Cicala (Chirleison, Essences) and the subscriber ;)

well...what Kenneth (SummoningOfTheMuse) said is true...and you don't know (because the sound clip on myspace and on our website are soooo short) but there are many complex vocal parts! Alessia (the singer.) is great...
We're glad to know that people have an interest in our music...
We're now in the final phase of a long process...we think that some more news about this project will come very very soon... ;)
PS: Alessia is also the singer of the band Chirleison

MySpace now allows long songs - so we now have our 23 min Rebirth up there! www.myspace.com/mysilentwake
We are hoping to get a cover of A Passage in Time happening soon. We have it all worked out. It helped watching Brendan play at the Oxford gig.
