    Adrian,

    Do you happen to know if any video exists of "the storm" or sometimes called "i dont believe in anymore?" Which we now know the true title being THE IMPALED MAN...confirmed by Brendan.

    Greetings all

    I was having a look through my attic earlier and I found an old VHS (UK PAL) tape of the Town and Country Club (the Forum now), concert in London during April 1989 - this concert includes 'The impaled man' and an early version of 'Black sun' with different lyrics and loads more goodies. The tape also has another unknown concert and an interview with Brendan for a European TV program which features a soundcheck for 'The Host of Seraphim'.

    Does anyone know of a DVD recording of the London concert or could anyone convert a VHS tape to .avi, .mpeg format etc?

    Thanks

    Martin.

    Hi,
    I've got a vhs copy of that concert, in a very poor quality. There is a concert of Cocteau twins recorded in 1984 on this tape, poor quality too.
    So, if someone have this in good quality, and could convert this , it will be nice !

    @dodge64

    I was at the concert myself. It was excellent as I recall. However, I don't have the 'kit' to transfer the VHS recording to PC. Can anyone help here at all?

    The quality of the recording is far from perfect but it is quite watchable.

    I have a 20 trk (double) VCD version of London show (30th, April 1989).

    I can make DVD from VHS with my DVD recorder.

    I dont think The Impaled Man was an early version of Black Sun as Black Sun was also played during the 89 tour (w/ extra percussion)...if memory serves me. I know I have one old tape with both tracks...same show. Time to dig out the tapes...The Impaled Man (recently and accurately identified by lovegrove) is just one of many of Brendan’s powerful percussive tracks from this era that never made it into the studio (to our knowledge). The Impaled Man is my favorite unreleased track..that and "full moon aka Santora" from the same tour by DCD.
